This rock was a piece of the set from the original "Planet of the Apes" that was filmed in this area. It looks real until you get up close and can see the holes that have rusted through. Ken's uncle was an extra in the movie and kept this rock as a souvenir.

I just can't help wondering why they would use a fake rock when real ones are so plentiful and cheap. Weird.

Maybe they had to lift it up and throw it or something...aaaw planet of the apes. That's some scary shit right there.

I love the fake rock and that someone cared enough to keep it as a souvenir. Awesome.

I would have made a plaque for that and put it over the hole.

Wow that field reminds me of my summer with you guys in Hinkley. Awww good times..walkin to the rez and calling Becky's mom to come pick us up b/c it was a long frickin way to walk...having to run after Taco the donkey b/c he watched us crawl under his corral and he learned how to do so also so we had to catch him before we could leave, your dog umm was his name Ashley (German Shepard)?? When we would swim too far out in the Rez we would swim out and pull us back to "safety"...Good Good Times! Man I miss you!!!
